When selecting a multipurpose vial, youll want to make sure of a few things:

• Material: Glass vs plastic (polypropylene, polystyrene etc.). For lab/chemical use, PP or glass is used. 

• Capacity / size: e.g., 3 ml, 5 ml, 30 ml etc.

• Cap / closure type: screw cap, fliptop, tamperevident etc.

• Transparency / colour: Clear / amber / transparent depending on light sensitivity.

• Use / application: Some are general multipurpose (storage, transport) while others are specialized (serum transport, cryo vials) etc.

• Quality / manufacturing specs: For lab use maybe sterile, leakproof, compatible with equipment.

• Type: Self-sealing thermoplastic film
